“This Wind”

By: JB Kennedy

This vehement wind

is the down-swerving wake

of fugitive, sky-wide wings,

whose ravishing passage

was effusive, but unseen.

And the fervent wind

convulses, veers,

delivers a vociferous river

of leaves

as a verdant rain.
