Recycle bin thefts

MBPD released the following statement regarding a rash of bin thefts that has  been occurring: “The Theft of recyclables from residential recycle bins continues to occur in Manhattan Beach.  Please be a good neighbor and put your trash cans/bins at the curb on the morning of trash pickup and not before, as this will help prevent individuals from sorting through trash during the night. If you see someone going through trash cans please call the Manhattan Beach Police Dispatch at (310) 545-4566 or 9-1-1 to report the crime.  Preventing recyclable thefts helps keep the refuse rates low in Manhattan Beach.”
