Hermosa Cyclery has been operating from its beachside location for more than 40 years. In that time, it has become a critical part of the city’s cycle-centric beach culture, offering rentals to visitors and outfitting locals with a stock of stylish Strand Cruisers. It’s also a feel-good local story with the four owners, all previous dedicated employees, inheriting the business from founder Harold “Schu” Schumaker after his passing in 2002.
