“I had a vision and plan of where I wanted to be in five years,” Spyder Surf founder Dennis Jarvis said. “I wanted to continue the surfing lifestyle and feed myself.”
Barahona is very easy going and listens to the customer before opening his mouth. He’s been in the industry for over 30 years and can shape every type of board.
In addition to being a master in all surfboard building disciplines, Tyler Hatzikian is his own best test pilot. “There are not many shapers who ride their designs and push them to their full potential in the water,” he said.
“Our skate team has won every team competition it has entered the last six years,” he said. “One of our team, Mason Silva, just signed with the Berrics,” said Spyder founder Dennis Jarvis.

Within the past two years, Manhattan Beach residents Sidney Sartini, 17, Ruby Carr, 17, and Natalia Panzarella, 17, formed a band called Bahari, wrote over thirty songs and signed a joint contract with Interscope Records.
