Kings star Jared Stoll, from Canada, adopted Hermosa Beach as his second home and Hermosa Beach adopted him after he brought the Stanley Cup down Hermosa Ave., aboard the Hermosa Beach Hook and Ladder.
“We love this area. We love Hermosa Beach,” Stoll told the crowd. “It’s going to be a good summer.”
Stoll, who turned 30 and signed a new three-year, $9.275 million contract over the weekend, good naturedly endured everybody singing happy birthday to him. Then he and the Stanley Cup took a cruise down the Strand.
