Despite the Pineapple Express raining down on most of California, it didn’t rain on the 27th Annual Hermosa Beach Saint Patrick’s Day Parade. Spectators who ignored Saturday’s rain forecast were rewarded by a parade featuring nearly 100 entries, including Irish dancers, marching bands, and exotic cars on loan from El Segundo Automobile Driving Museum. The museum cars carried Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach elected officials, and Fourth District Supervisor Holly Mitchell, the parade’s title sponsor.

The parade was announced by Fox News reporters Rick Dickert and Sandra Endow, and for his 25 consecutive year,  Kiwanian Rick Koenig.

Following the Chamber of Commerce-organized parade, Irish Dancers, and the local band Poppy Marlo performed on Pier Plaza. ER
