Cypress Ave arts show draws support for youth art programs.

The inaugural State of the Art fundraiser, hosted by Resin Gallery, and its Cypress Avenue neighbors on Saturday, April 30, raised over $250,000 from over 500 guests for the gallery’s non-profit Indivisible Arts Creative Wisdom program. The 600 block of Cypress Avenue was closed to traffic for the immersive art show, which included fire dancers, servers dressed as disco balls, and over 250 works of art by local artists. Among the art were nearly 50 painted surfboards from Leadership Hermosa’s Boards Across Hermosa program. Young at Art students from Hermosa Vista and Hermosa Valley also exhibited their art.

The Creative Wisdom Program offers mental health support for young people through yoga, and art programs that include painting, dance, music, and photography.
