The annual Fourth of July celebration at the Seaside Lagoon opens its gates at 2 p.m. and features music, food, a helicopter rescue demonstration, swimming, and lots of activities for kids up through the 9 p.m. fireworks show. Music ranges from surf instrumentals to bluegrass to John Brown and the Couchois Brothers and a big Redondo Beach community sing-a-long. Kids’ activities include Northrop Grumman science workshops, a Freedom Parade, and an AdventurePlex obstacle course and slide. Prices range from $12 for kids’ tickets to $300 sponsorship tables.
