Candlelight vigil
There will be a candlelight vigil at 124 Sapphire St, hosted by Reverend Maitreya Bhagavan Friend in remembrance of those who were killed by terrorism on 9-11 and for all of America’s fighting men and women who have given their lives for America and Freedom and those who have been wounded in battle.

Emergency preparedness night
In partnership with the Redondo Beach Fire Department and Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T), Redondo Beach Public Library is hosting an Emergency Preparedness Night on Tues. from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. According to a statement, it’s never too late to learn what you can do to prepare for and protect your family from the unavoidable disasters in life like earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, and fire. We’ll also discuss man-made disasters and carbon monoxide poisoning. It will be a night of that no one should.
The program is free and open to the public. No registration is required and refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Redondo Beach Public Library.
