Students investigate global water crisis

Abha Nath and Brady Currey, Mira Costa High School juniors, won first place in Oracle’s Thinkquest International Web Design Competition for a website they created about the global water crisis, which includes causes, challenges and solutions to the problem.

Nath was introduced to the water crisis during a family trip to India, after which she started the H20 for Life club on campus. “I was very touched to learn how young girls and students had to sacrifice an education to walk for miles every day to get water for their families,” she wrote on the website.

Currey, a member of Model United Nations and the school newspaper La Vista served as the website’s editor.
