Mural board merger Members of the new Hermosa Beach Mural Project Board of Directors gathered recently in the Hermosa Beach Council chambers for installation of a posture featuring the 10 murals installed throughout the city over the past 10 years. The original Mural Project board dissolved upon completion of its 10-mural goal. The Hermosa Beach Historical Society has accepted responsibility for maintenance of the murals. Mike Detoy currently handles the council’s pro tem duties and is in line to get the ceremonial mayor’s title for the one-year term, following a traditional rotation system.
