Downtown report
A second meeting to gather community input on a cost-benefit analysis of the city’s downtown area will take place at City Hall Thursday night.
The meeting, at 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers, will provide residents an opportunity to comment on the analysis, which compared revenues generated for the city by the area with the cost of city services that the area consumes.
Residents unable to attend may view the draft report on the city’s website and email comments to hbcomments@kosmont.com.
Envision workshop
The Hermosa Beach City School District will hold an envisioning workshop next Wednesday evening. One in a series of workshops put on by the district, Wednesday’s event will focus on the upcoming school facilities bond measure. School board members and Superintendent Pat Escalante urge residents to come with questions about the bond.
The measure, which will come before voters in the June 7 election, would raise funds for capital improvements at the district’s two schools, as well as to renovate and reopen a third school, slated for the North School site near Valley Park.
The workshop will take place at 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers.
