The Neptunian Woman’s Club is holding a design contest to create its new logo. The logo should be unique and recognizable to help promote the organization’s mission and must include the initials “NWC” and the words “Neptunian Woman’s Club of Manhattan Beach.” Entries must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Sept. 15, no exceptions. The winning artist will be announced on or before Oct. 7 and will receive $500. Visit neptunians.org for more info.
Skatepark meeting
The public is invited to give feedback on possible concepts for a potential skatepark on Sept. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m at the Joslyn Center. At the last meeting on Aug. 6, attendees discussed preferred sites. At the upcoming meeting, Kanten Russell, the consultant hired by the city, will present ideas tailored for those sites.
