dineLA nearing end
Redondo Beach restaurants BALEENKitchen and Bluewater Grill are participating in dineLA Restaurant Week, which ends tomorrow, July 26. The 12-day event aims to showcase Los Angeles as a premier dining destination, and participating restaurants offer specially priced lunch and dinner menus for the duration of the event.
Get organized
The Cancer Support Community of Redondo Beach hosts organizational consultant Ann Gambrell on Friday, July 26, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at 109 W. Torrance Blvd. She will speak about the dramatic life changes that a cancer diagnosis can effect, and introduce participants to organizational methods and techniques that can help them to cope. Reiki circle
Reiki masters from the South Bay will join Jovita Tranion Friday, July 26, from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at 109 W. Torrance Blvd for the giving and receiving of Reiki, a spiritual practice with Japanese origins that involves the transfer of energy through the palms, which is believed to aid in self-healing.
Concerts on the pier
Tonight, Thursday, July 25, The Funny Valentine’s will play a free show from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the Redondo Beach Pier. On Saturday, July 27, Justin Hopkins will play for free – same place, same time.
Blue Zones yoga
The Redondo Pier Association teams up with Blue Zones Project and Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach again Monday, July 29, to offer a free yoga class on the Redondo Beach Pier. The class starts at 6:30 p.m. and will be led by an instructor from Spectrum Athletic Clubs.
