Community e-bike meeting Thursday night The Redondo Beach Police Department will hold a community e-bike meeting Thursday, March 7, at 6 p.m. at Anderson Park. The “Talk Shop With Cops” event is to discuss, and educate residents about e-bikes, and gather community feedback about safety strategies. Since fall 2022, the RBPD has run an education and enforcement effort for e-bikes, including production of a safety video, signboards, community engagement, social media, citations and warnings. Superior Court Judge Spear re-election projected Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Emily Spear, of Redondo Beach,is projected to win a second, six-year term with 356,199 votes, for 53.5%, compared to challenger Kimberly Repecka’s 46.5% (310,166 votes) in a count released election night. Spear is assigned to the Inglewood courthouse. Repecka is a deputy public defender for L.A. County. Spear previously worked as a deputy district attorney in L.A. County for 11 years.
