Board president: School bond to go in November
Redondo Unified School District is moving toward a definite bond this fall, according to Board President Raymur Flinn.
“The issue is the number,” she told Easy Reader Tuesday.
The board has been gathering feedback on a proposed bond to cover three main areas, as decided from input received.
“Safety first, modernization and technology,” Flinn said.
As for the number, at the top end Flinn said it would be no higher than $300 million, to be collected over 30 years. She gave a top end collection rate of $39 per $100,000 in assessed property value.
What would be the low ends?
“I would just be guessing,” Flinn said.
The board will need to decide by July whether to put a bond on the November ballot.

Memorial Day ceremony at Veterans Park
