
Mira Costa’s Elliott Ozer was one of 25 local athletes selected to a winter sports season All-CIF team. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound guard led the Mustangs in scoring, averaging 20.1 points per game, in assists with 61 and steal with 25. The senior also grabbed 191 rebounds to earn a spot on the Division 2A team.
Also honored from the Bay League was Peninsula’s Reese Morgan.
Bishop Montgomery’s Tyler Harvey was named to the Division 3AA squad while El Segundo’s Brandon Jawato was selected for the Division 4AA team.
Girls Basketball
CIF Division 3AA champion Serra had two players – Bria Richardson and Simone Thompson – named to the team while Cavalier coach Mckinsey Hadley was selected as the division’s Coach of the Year.
Representing the Bay League was Kelsey Brockway, of Palos Verdes, who made the Division 3A team.
Bishop Montgomery’s Kristen Ale and Chelsey Aaron earned All-CIF honors in Division 4AA and Chadwick’s Airiss Finley and Haley Buch were selected to the Division 5A squad.
Boys Soccer
The Bay League was represented by two players. Palos Verdes midfielder Michael Meissner and West Torrance defender Austin Lohn were selected to the Division 1 team.
In Division 4, North Torrance midfielder Claudio Rodriguez and Bishop Montgomery forward/midfielder Kevin Callinan earned All-CIF honors.
Vistamar midfielder Nick Escudero was selected in Division 7.
Girls Soccer
Palos Verdes forward Elizabeth Caparis and midfielder Haley Rosen were named to the Division 2 team.
Division 4 representatives include South Torrance midfielders Jessica Nakae and Tina Yeghiayan and Torrance forward Courtlynn Cerrito.
Girls Water Polo
Division 6 honorees included El Segundo’s Colette Gulick and Hayden Green along with Chadwick players Jenna Solberg and Gen Baumann. ER
