Armed man robs Manhattan Beach dry cleaners

A man brandishing a pistol robbed a family-owned dry cleaning business in north Manhattan Beach on the morning of Nov. 27, according to police.Just before 9:40 a.m. that Wednesday, the suspect entered Manhattan Beach Cleaners in the 3200 block of Highland Avenue. He displayed a pistol to a lone employee and demanded money out of the registers as well as her purse. Fearing her safety, the victim gave money to the suspect, who fled out the door.
