Armed robbery in North Manhattan Beach

A man and woman were robbed at gunpoint outside a home in North Manhattan Beach just before midnight on Dec. 9, Manhattan Beach police said Thursday.

The pair were walking into a garage on the 200 block of 41st Street when a white 1990s sedan stopped in front of them, according to police.

“The rear passenger window of the vehicle rolled down and one of the suspects in the backseat leaned out of the vehicle and pointed a handgun at the victims and demanded their property,” police said in a Nixle alert.

After the two handed over their property, the car fled down 41st Street, made a right on Ocean Drive and drove out of sight.

One of the suspects was described as an adult male wearing a black shirt and ski mask. The car was said to resemble a four-door Toyota Corolla.

MBPD asked that anyone with information about the crime call Detective Rosenberger at 310-802-5127.

They also advised people to be aware of their surroundings at all times and to report any suspicious activity to 911 immediately or to 310-545-4566 for non-emergencies.
