New gallery: El Segundo welcomes a new space for art with the opening of Gallery 730. Opening night January 15 from 6-9 and January 25 from 3-7 with open hours daily from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. except Mondays. The gallery is a collection of original art and photography from local artists Michael Petroni, Deslie Guthrie, JIll Sanders, Chris and Scott Miller. Art on the Riviera: Enjoy a four floor art exhibit at Plaza Riviera, a collection of South Bay art created by local fine artists on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event is organized by Artlife Gallery. An original piece of art will be raffled off at this show. 1611 South Catalina Avenue in Redondo Beach.

Wings, suds and tunes: Redondo Beach’s rising craft beer heroes, King Harbor Brewing Co, will host a night full of fantastic food, craft beer, and live music Friday night. Singer/songwriter Nick Shattuck will be featuring his collection of indie folk/soul songs and Southern California’s Brewings will be serving up chicken wings out of their food truck in the parking lot. Doors open at 4 p.m. with music beginning at 6:30 p.m. This is a free event. You must be 21+ to attend. King Harbor Brewing Co’s tasting room, 2907 182nd Street in Redondo Beach.

Classic flick: Old Town Music Hall presents Kim Novak and Tyrone Power in “The Eddy Duchin Story” this weekend. This 1956 biopic film of band leader and pianist Eddy Duchin received an Academy Award nomination for cinematography and the film received four nominations. Screenings are Friday at 8:15 p.m.; Saturday, 2:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.; and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. General admission is $10 and seniors over 62 are $8. Old Town Music Hall, 140 Richmond Street in El Segundo.

Art opening: The Torrance Art Museum at the Joslyn Center (TAM) invites the public to attend the opening reception of Sincerely Yours on Saturday, January 17, 2015, from 6 – 9 p.m. The exhibition examines the current resurgence of the notion of the Romantic in contemporary painting today. Classical Sundays: The South Bay Chamber Music Society presents the Pacific Trio in RPV on Sunday. The Pacific Trio will play music by Bloch, Brahms and Saint-Saens. The concert is at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Pacific Unitarian Church, 5621 Montemalaga in Rancho Palos Verdes. The concert is presented free of charge.

Screening: Manhattan Beach hosts a screening of the film “The Concert” on Wednesday afternoon.. Russian maestro Andrey seizes a chance to reunite his orchestra and reclaim his life 30 years after politics destroyed his career..
