Pumpkins in the Park On Saturday, October 14. Show up in costume and march in the costume parade. Pick a pumpkin, decorate it, and take it home. Games, crafts, face painting, hot dogs, popcorn, and a fantastic puppet show. Photo by Brad Jacobson Sunday, October 29 Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk The Friendship Foundation assists children with special needs and their families through one-on-one peer mentoring and social recreational activities such as summer camps, outings, sporting events, and a variety of classes that include music, yoga, cooking, art, and drama. The Walk starts at the Manhattan Beach Pier. Participants walk south toward Hermosa Beach Pier to the turnaround point, then return to Manhattan Beach Pier. The total distance of the Walk is about 3.5 miles. 8 – 9:30 a.m. After the walk stay for the Work-Famous Pumpkin Races 12 p.m…
