2024 Greater LA Homeless Count

Hermosa Beach’s annual Homeless Count will take place from 8 – 11 p.m. City Council Chambers, 1315 Valley Drive. Teams of volunteer drivers and counters ages 18 and up will help count persons experiencing homelessness in Hermosa Beach. The City is seeking a maximum of 25 volunteers. Hermosa Historical Society Board Member and local historian Mark Shoemaker will present a Genealogy 101 in person workshop at the Hermosa Beach Historical Museum. Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell and Metro Los Angeles invite Second District residents to a community conversation on the Green/C Line extension. Chemobrain– via Zoom

Cancer Support Community South Bay (CSC South Bay) presents a free workshop led by Arash Asher, MD, director of Cancer Survivorship and Rehabilitation at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute at Cedars-Sinai. Cancer-related cognitive impairment is a common concern for many patients with cancers. MB Art Center opening for “Return to Form”

During the COVID-19 pandemic recovery, the City of Manhattan Beach permitted businesses to use parking spaces and street areas in the public right-of-way.
