Santa Stroll
The fourth annual California Great Santa Stroll, a fundraiser for Mychal’s Learning Place, which assists youths and young adults with developmental disabilities, will take place on Dec. 10. The festive event is a 5K run or walk for all ages and abilities. Scores of Santas will stroll along the Strand from Hermosa Beach to Manhattan Beach and back. Each registration comes with a five-piece Santa suit and backpack filled with promotional items. To register, go to santastroll21.funraise.org.

Rocks for TotsSpotlight: Tickets are on sale to the 17th Annual Rock for Tots Toy Drive Charity Concert, set for Dec. 10 at Hermosa Music Company, 636 Cypress Ave., with an additional hangout lounge next door at Shockboxx Art Gallery. The concert is a fundraiser in association with the Beach Cities Toy Drive and the Harbor Regional Center Help Fund. Bands will include Jeremy Buck & The Bang, The Kevin Sousa Band, Barley, and The Lucky Ones. There will also be acoustic performances by Pedro Reis, Kat Hall, Joe Cipolla, Michael Gourzis, Mike and Jeff, Olivia Pucci and MEGG. Doors open at 1 p.m., with the concert set for at 2-9 p.m. The event will be live streamed at rock4tots.net, on YouTube and Facebook. A limited number of tickets are on sale and can be purchased at rock4tots.net for a donation of $60 each. Raffle tickets and concert T-shirts will be for sale at the show, with all proceeds going to charity. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring a new toy worth at least $5 in value.

Snow flurries at the beach
The Point in El Segundo is trading in sandcastles for snowmen as they invite guests to enjoy snow showers every Friday and Saturday through Dec. 23 and then every night from Dec. 19 through Dec. 23. Manhattan Beach art exhibit
Lynn Aldrich’s “Fly High Fly Deep,” an exhibit about environmental conservation, is on display at the Manhattan Beach Art Center through Jan. 1. New art exhibit to open

Sandpipers Holiday Home Tour
Sandpipers will host its 30th annual Holiday Homes Tour Friday, Dec. 2 through Sunday, Dec. 4. The tour showcases homes in the South Bay decorated and transformed by local artisans and florists. In addition to touring the homes, attendees can visit a holiday boutique and café at the Neptunian Woman’s Club, 920 Highland Ave., Manhattan Beach, featuring wine, food, jewelry, clothing and more. Nature walk
Enjoy a guided nature walk at the George F Canyon Guided Nature Preserve, courtesy the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy. Let it Snow
Seaside Lagoon is being transformed into a winter wonderland. The Redondo Beach Police Department is bringing tons of real snow to Seaside Lagoon for the Let it Snow event, scheduled for noon-4 p.m. There will also be hot cocoa, cookies, crafts and photo opportunities with Santa. Admission is free. In addition, the police department’s Domestic Violence Advocacy Program will be accepting donations to its toy, gift card and coat drive for children and adults in need. Cancer Support Community South Bay is offering this free workshop led by physical therapist Dwight Baldoman. Baldoman will present information about lymphedema and some self-care tools and tips. The city of Rolling Hills Estates will host the 25th annual holiday parade from 6-7:30 p.m. Enjoy holiday floats, marching bands and Santa as they make their way through a brightly lit part of town. The grand marshal is musician David Benoit. The parade travels along Silver Spur Road and Deep Valley Drive through the Promenade on the Peninsula to Norris Center Drive.
