Interested in the music, poetry, art, and history of the Beatnik Movement? The Hermosa Beach Museum is hosting a night in honor of the historic Insomniac Cafe this month Drawing on the Insomniac’s history as a cultural touchstone, the evening will feature open mic poetry, art, and music along with coffee and light refreshments. Grab your leash and your fur babies and head to the South Coast Botanic Garden during special dog-walking hours. Bring your four-legged friends to the Garden for a stroll throughout 87 acres. While there are a few areas off limits to the dogs (including the Dorothy and John Bohannon Rose Garden, the Koi Pond and the new Pollination Garden), the dogs are able to enjoy the majority of our beautiful oasis while remaining on leash.
