Art show exhibit Bernard Fallon at ER
A solo exhibit featuring the works of Bernard Fallon. Bernard Fallon was born in Liverpool and attended the Liverpool School of Art. This was followed by a post-grad at the Leicester Polytechnic School of Photography. He now lives in Redondo Beach, where he paints and teaches classes and workshops. Bloom at Botanic Garden
The journey will begin in the courtyard with a stunning display that will transform the area into our first photo moment. Guests will then be guided to a variety of areas in the Garden that are newly planted, where the flowers are awakening, and ultimately lead you to the Amphitheater Lawn where over 21,000 bulbs have been planted. This colorful and unique display of flora will invite guests to become immersed in the beauty and grounded in the moment with a variety of photo opportunities. Ongoing through the end of April. First Thursday ArtWalk, San Pedro
For nearly 25 years, the First Thursday ArtWalk in San Pedro has showcased local artists and businesses, bringing back visitors to the historic core of downtown San Pedro. The April 4 Guided ArtWalk Tour will be touring three unique arts spaces. Gather at 5:30 p.m. in JDC Records, 447 West 6th Street, walk at 6 p.m. and visit Pixels Creative Space, 439 West 6th Street, fINdings Art Center, 470 West 6th Street and end the tour in Los Angeles Harbor Arts, 4th and Mesa. Final chamber concert Wilmington
The South Bay Chamber Music Society presents the final concert of the 2023-2024 season with Fiato Quartet. Carrie Kennedy (violin), Joel Pargman (violin), Aaron Oltman, (viola), and Ryan Sweeney (cello). The performance will include works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Webern. 8 p.m. Recital Hall, Los Angeles Harbor College, 1111 Figueroa Place, Wilmington. MB Dune restoration volunteer event

Romeo + Juliet HB
Get set for a wildly amusing journey through an alternative universe where the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet is turned on its head, filled with unexpected contradictions and rampant greed. In this world, the authenticity of Juliet’s affection for Romeo is questionable, and the bizarre feud between the tycoons of the Rice and Pasta takes center stage. Speaker will be Dylan Zoller. Dylan works at Sherman Gardens where he maintains a collection of bromeliad species. Touch of Evil El Segundo
Director Orson Welles. Initially dismissed by critics (they always had a love-hate relationship with Welles), the film slowly found admirers over the years. It is now heralded as one of the most popular classic-era noir films and considered to be one of Welles’s best work. Soroptimist International Film Festival MB
Women’s Voices Now (WVN) is a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization that uses the power of film to drive positive social change that advances girls’ and women’s globally. This program empowers the next generation of youth from under-resourced communities to find, develop, and use their voices for social change through filmmaking. Since 2018, Girls’ Voices Now has served 94 girls from under-resourced communities and overseen the production of their 25 short films, seen by over 1.8 million viewers, and won a Daytime Emmy!
