Richard Podgurski, widely known as DJ Dik, has spun himself a hat trick with three years running as best DJ (sharing last year’s title with DJ Bayati). He’s currently in his most productive year to date, with gigs all over the country. But Hermosa is home and the preferred playground for this native.
Ocean Bar and 12 and Highland are his mainstays. DIK worked with a team over the past year to transform Ocean Bar into the best place for DJs to play in the area. Their Sol Sundays were a popular summer party, and will resume in May.
“Ocean Bar is the house party I was never able to have,” says DIK, who, with mention of DJ Quasar, claims there’re 5 other DJs deserving of this title.
