Eight years ago, Bre Hale, a Utah native, wanted to be near the beach. So she packed up her bags and moved to Hermosa Beach, where she has since racked up a reputation as the best female bartender in town.
“I make good cocktails?” Hale said, laughing. “But more than anything, a lot of my customers become my friends. We have a lot of fun together.”
With her warm, easy smile and down-to-earth personality, it’s not difficult to see why Hale, a bartender at ROK Sushi Kitchen since the restaurant opened in May 2010, is a local favorite. Many of her patrons from her bartending days down at the former Shore, she noted, have become her loyal regulars here at ROK.
“I love Hermosa,” Hale said. “No looking back. Not a chance.”
