The trouble with most liquor stores in the South Bay is that the more conveniently located they are, the higher the prices are. Not so with Abe’s Liquor in Hermosa. Even though the store is right on Pier Avenue and has free parking, the owners do not take advantage of their local customer base. The prices are competitive, the selection is good and the employees are helpful and friendly. You can grab a six-pack of craft beer for the same price you would at Von’s without losing your view of the beach, or your parking space for that matter.
Another reason to love Abe’s is that they deliver. No more runs to the grocery store when you run out of beer at your Super Bowl party. For a reasonable $25 minimum, you can have beer, wine, liquor and anything else sold at the store delivered to your home for free. And it usually takes less than 15 minutes.
