The best bartenders are much more interested in talking about you than they are about themselves. This, however, makes it mighty difficult when you want to find out more about this year’s favorite male bartender Scott Perry.
Scott has worked at Charlie’s in Redondo for three and a half years but has been a South Bay fixture for much longer. From Café Boogaloo in Hermosa to Johnny Memphis’ Smokehouse in Manhattan, the New York native has made the rounds in the local bar scene. He is soft-spoken with kind eyes, quick hands and a great laugh. The horseshoe bar at Charlie’s seems to fill up especially quickly when Scott is behind the bar and everyone calls him by name.
While it may be hard to find out much about this local legend, he’s sure to take the time to get to know you on your next visit.
