Best of the Beach 2015, Best Live Music Venue: Saint Rocke

Saint Rocke hails again as the winner of this respectable title this year. The club was founded by Allen Sanford, whose other ventures include global live streaming IROCKE concert platform and the growing franchise of Rockefeller gastropubs. His live venue showcases live music acts at least five nights a week. While it has welcomed the likes of national favorites Lucinda Williams and John Hiatt, Saint Rocke stays grounded in providing a platform for local talent — their Tuesday evening open mics are usually jam packed. “Saint Rocke continues to be humbled by the community support and fervor for live music in our lives,” Sanford says. “Let’s continue supporting music and the arts in our community.” In the upcoming months, Saint Rocke’s stage will be graced by Lisa Loeb, Hoobastank and the Cordovas, featuring Joe Firstman and Kamasi Washington. – EK
