“The whole point is to draw in the buyer and make them fall in love with the property,” said Sandy Kenney, owner of In Home Harmony.
The company’s five-person team stages both vacant and occupied properties in Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and San Pedro since 2010.
One day is often all it takes for In Home Harmony to transform an empty home into a welcoming abode for potential buyers.
Beach-inspired furnishings and more color inspire the team’s staging decisions,
“We don’t tend to be very beige; we tend to like a little bit more color in our rooms. I think things are moving in that direction. Deeper colors coming back,” Kennney said. She is a certified staging professional and certified color specialist with the Real Estate Staging Association.
Unattainable but also idyllic, and “a place that somebody wants to be” are the ways Kenney describes her team’s take on staging.
“The biggest compliment for me is when someone walks into a house we’ve staged, and they’re not completely certain whether it’s staged or whether someone lives there,” she said.
Kenney said her team’s staging always has a positive impact on a home’s sale.
“I’m going to do whatever I can to help my clients sell their property as quickly as possible, for the most money possible,” Kenney said. – Nikki Yunker
