Following a Blessing of the Trees by Rev. Josh Paget of St. Cross Episcopal Church, the Hermosa Kiwanis sold more than 700 noble pines and Douglas firs in just three days at their 38th Annual Holiday Tree Lot. But they quickly restocked the lot with 750 new trees. The lot, at Pacific Coast Highway and Pier Avenue, is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to  9 p.m.; and Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. All proceeds from the sales of the trees and wreaths go to local charities and more than 40 scholarships. Free family photos with Santa (Hermosa Beach Mayor Pro-Tem Rob Saemann), in his all-electric, carbon neutral sleigh can be taken Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.
