Redondo candidates’ forum
A Redondo Beach candidates forum will be held today in the Redondo Beach Council Chambers, sponsored by North Redondo Beach Business Association. Candidates for districts 3 and 5 and the city clerk and city treasurer positions will participate. Debate: 3:30 p.m., meet & greet: 4:45 – 6 p.m. at Redondo Beach City Council Chambers. Hermosa Beach oil forum
Hermosa Beach hosts an impartial presentation on the the proposal to drill for oil from the city’s maintenance yard into its tidelands. The consultants who prepared the Environmental Impact Report (EIR), Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA), and Health Impact Assessment (HIA) will lead the discussions from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at City Council Chambers, 1315 Valley Dr., Hermosa Beach.
Peter Zippi animal benefit
The annual Peter Zippi Fund for Animals Benefit is today from 8 to 11 p.m. at Suzy’s Bar & Grill, featuring Abrakadabra, the popular Pop/Contemporary Jazz group.
