Omnilore is a learning-in-retirement community that is part of the Cal. State Dominguez Hills Extension Program and is comprised of approximately 300 seniors who participate in study/discussion groups. Lunch and Learn: Living Fully with a Serious Illness

Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach (CSCRB) hosts Dr. Matt Gonzales, palliative care physician on Friday, Feb. 22, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at 109 West Torrance Blvd., Redondo Beach. Gonzales will share relatable journeys of seriously ill patients and their loved ones. Discussion will include what mortality can teach us about living and how a person can live fully, even during a serious illness.  A nutritious lunch will be provided by The Spot restaurant in Hermosa Beach from 12:30 to 1 p.m.  Advance registration required.
