Cuban International Marine science conference report-back meeting sponsored by LA Maritime Institute, Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, Algalita.

Marine scientists and educators broke the academic blockade and participated in an international marine conference in Cuba. LA area participants presented workshops on their activities and research on ocean plastic pollution and initiated collaboration with the 650 delegated from nearly 20 countries.

Significant delegations from US aquaria, universities and National Oceanographic and Aerospace Administration (NOAA) were in attendance.

Come hear about this collaboration on environmental issues that affect all humanity and a new opportunity for YOU to join our US delegation to the International Environmental conference, Havana July 1-5, 2019 and the International Youth Plastics Pollution conference in Kyoto, Japan July 20-24.
