The 7th annual Sean Brock Foundation 5k Run
June 9th 2019
The run will take place at the Dockweiler State Beach, 12501 Vista Del Mar, Playa Del Ray, CA 90293
My twin brother Captain Sean Brock United States Marine Corps, was killed in Iraq in 2005 by enemy fire. To honor my brothers legacy I and a few close friends decided to form a non-profit foundation that would provide educational assistance to family members of service members who lost their lives or were wounded in combat in order for them to pursue their educational endeavors.
Every year we host a run event to raise funds for the foundation. This year we will be hosting our seventh annual Kids dash, 5k run walk event at Dockweiler State Beach CA. This event is open to everyone of all ages. This year’s event will be co- hosted with CalCPA ( California Public Accountants Association Los Angeles Chapter. CalCPA also awards scholarships to local college or university students studying accounting.

The Junior Foundation is MBBC’s 501c3 non-profit dedicated to supporting programs for all, including special needs, disabled and para athletes, by creating a positive environment and funding year-round opportunities, with the goal of developing strength, character, confidence, courage and self-discipline as preparation for competition and life. All of our programs operate entirely on donations of time and money.
The Manhattan Beach Badminton Club, founded in 1936, is an amazing, hidden gem in Manhattan Beach. Although the club just marked its 83rd year anniversary, many are unaware of its existence, its rich heritage, its place on the world badminton stage and the good works they do to benefit special needs, para athletes, juniors and veterans.
