Economist Christopher Thornberg made his name as a forecaster by predicting the 2008 Great Recession in 2006, which other economists failed to foresee. On Thursday, he will give an online talk on “Understanding the economic consequences of the lockdown.” And perhaps also discuss how he missed forecasting “The Great Recession of 2020.”
