Hermosa Beach Surfer Walk of Fame inducts shaper Pat Ryan, former pros Liz Benavidez and Ron Garner and The Beach Boys
“I might as well address the elephant in the room,” surfboard shaper Pat Ryan said at the start of his Hermosa Beach Surfer Walk of Fame induction talk. Listening with anticipation were over 500 people who attended the 2019 induction ceremony Saturday morning on Pier Plaza.
Surfboard shaper Pat Ryan, former pro surfers Liz Benavidez and Ronnie Garner, and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Beach Boys will be inducted in the Hermosa Beach Surfer’s Walk of Fame on Saturday. The inductions will be held on the Hermosa Beach Pier at 11 a.m.
The 2019 Hermosa Beach Surfer Walk of Fame Weekend begins Friday evening, May 26, with a reception for 2019 Walk of Fame inductees Pat Ryan, Liz Benavidez, Ronnie Garner and the Beach Boys.
The 13th Annual Spyder Surf Fest will showcase local musicians, fashions and surf industry vendors on Saturday, April 27, following the Surfer Walk of Fame inductions.
