Three of the four candidates running for City Council in the Tuesday, March 8 election attended the mayor’s State of the City address on Tuesday at the Belamar Hotel (see story on opposite page). (l-r) Planning Commissioners David Lesser and Kathleen Paralusz and Manhattan Beach Unified School Board Member Amy Howorth were among 100 attendees at the event. The fourth candidate, Viet Ngo, was not in attendance.
The Manhattan Beach Residents Association will sponsor a Manhattan Beach City Council Candidates Forum tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at City Council chambers, 1400 Highland Ave. The forum will also be broadcast on the city’s public access television channel and will be repeatedly shown daily at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. until the day of the election.
