PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach shall hold a public hearing on Tuesday,June 17, 2014, to consider the following:
- Amendment to Precise Development Plan to reconfigure offices, decks, and stairways together with façade and elevation changes in a multi-tenant building at 1301 Manhattan Avenue, and determination that the project is Categorically Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (continued from the May 20, 2014 meeting).
- Precise Development Plan and Conditional Use Permit to allow a mixed-use development consisting of an approximately 324 square foot commercial space and 2,800 square foot residential unit in the C-1 zone at 60 Hermosa Avenue, and determination that the project is Categorically Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
- Conditional Use Permit, Precise Development Plan and Vesting Tentative Parcel Map No. 72838 for a two-unit condominium at 438 Hermosa Avenue, and determination that the project is Categorically Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
- Conditional Use Permit, Precise Development Plan and Vesting Tentative Parcel Map No. 72883 for a two-unit condominium at 605-607 Longfellow Avenue, and determination that the project is Categorically Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
SAID PUBLIC HEARINGS shall be held at 7:00 P.M., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard,in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254.
ANY AND ALL PERSONS interested are invited to participate and speak at these hearings at the above time and place. For inclusion in the agenda packet to be distributed, written comments of interested parties should be submitted to the Community Development Department, Planning Division, in care of City Hall at 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254 prior to Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 12:00 noon. All written testimony by any interested party will be accepted prior to or at the scheduled time on the agenda for the matter.
IFYOU CHALLENGE the above matter(s) in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Community Development Department, Planning Division, at, or prior to, the public hearing.

Notice Inviting Bids
For the Installation of Two (2) Groundwater Monitoring Wells
To gather data for the Development of an Assessment of
Infrastructure Vulnerability due to Projected Sea Level Rise
The City of Hermosa Beach is soliciting sealed bids from qualified vendors to furnish the Department of Public Works with two Groundwater Monitoring Wells to be installed in the City’s parking lots: Parking Lot A (11th Street and Hermosa Avenue) and Parking Lot B (13th Court and Beach Drive). The proposal shall include all labor, materials, equipment, and appurtenances to complete the job.
Submission of Proposals
Proposals must be received in the Office of the City Clerk, 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254, on or before 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014. The proposal shall be contained in a sealed bid. The City of Hermosa Beach reserves the right to extend the time frame as necessary.
Late proposals will not be accepted. Postmark date will not constitute timely delivery. Proposals received after the deadline will be returned to the bidder unopened.
The sealed proposal envelope shall be identified with “Coastal Conservancy Climate Ready Grant – Groundwater Monitoring Wells” and the name of the vendor. All prices and costs shall be sealed in the sealed proposal envelope.The vendor’s proposal shall include an estimate of the time required to complete the project.
