NOTICE INVITING BIDS
CIP No. 11-602 Clark Field & 13-649 Community Center Electrical Upgrades
Notice is hereby given that the City of Hermosa Beach will receive sealed bids at the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254, until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 14, 2014, for CIP No. 11-602 Clark Field & 13-649 Community Center Electrical Upgrades which consists of furnishing all necessary labor, materials, tools and equipment for the installation of electrica lupgrades at two facilities as per the plans and specifications.
Important: There will be a Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Hermosa Beach Community Center located at 710 Pier Avenue, Hermosa Beach.
All bids must be submitted in writing, on standard forms available in the Public Works Department at City Hall. All bids must be sealed and must be plainly marked in the lower left-hand corner “CIP No. 11-602 Clark Field & 13-649 Community Center Electrical Upgrades.”
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received and to be the sole judge of the merits of the respective bids received. The award, if made, will be granted to the lowest responsible bidder.

Plans and Specifications may be picked up at the Office of the Director of Public Works/City Engineer at City Hall beginning Thursday, July 24, 2014, by paying a non-refundable fee of $20.00 per set. Plans and specifications can be mailed directly to the contractor if a Federal Express or preferred carrier account number is provided.
City Hall is open Mon.-Thurs. 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Request for Proposals
Public Information Officer
The City of Hermosa Beach is seeking proposals from qualified individuals and firms with public relations backgrounds and experience in city services to provide Public Information Officer Services, detailed on the City’s site: http://www.hermosabch.org/index.aspx?page=667.
We hope to have a permanent Public Information Officer in place by September, 2014. In the event the City contracts for said services, the term of such agreement will be for two (2) years with the option to renew two additional one (1) year terms. Please note that the extension of the Agreement beyond the initial one-year agreement will also be contingent upon approval by the City.
Proposals must be received by 5:00 p.m. (PST) on August 7th, 2014. No proposal will be accepted after this date and time. All proposals must be received in a sealed envelope and clearly marked “Proposal for Public Information Officer Services” and should be delivered to:

The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. The City’s decision will be made based upon a variety of performance and cost factors.
