Brad Jacobson’s “Chasing El Niño” kicks off the 11th annual Surf Film Fest, which in turn kicks off the Surfer’s Walk of Fame weekend, with a premiere Friday night at the Hermosa Beach Historical Museum. “I spent the 2015-2016 winter chasing El Niño swells and documenting our local surfers riding them,” Jacobson said. “The movie is special because it spotlights our local surfers, not just the pros but the guys who have been surfing these spots all their lives with little or no recognition.”
