Mira Costa looks to get back on the winning track Friday after the Mustangs lost a shootout at West Torrance 45-39.

Playing in CIF-SS Division 6, Mira Costa (2-2) will host the division’s top-ranked team South Hills Friday at 7 p.m. In the final non-league contest before league play begins, the Huskies come to Manhattan Beach with a spotless 4-0 record.

Trailing 28-16 at halftime, Mira Costa tried to come back but, after each score, West answered back.
