The line waiting to get in the Hermosa Beach fiesta beer garden Saturday afternoon, in the parking lot behind Pier Plaza, looked like Saturday night lines in front of Pier Plaza. The draw, in addition to $6 beers, was the mix of rock, R & B and Motown by The Couchois Brothers Band. The Alabama-born brothers recorded for Decca and Warner brothers before giving up touring and establishing themselves as one of the South Bay’s most popular club and concert bands.

Saturday’s line-up consisted of brothers Mike on vocals and percussion, Pat on vocals and guitar and Chris on vocals and drums. Joining them were Fred Milani on keyboards and Rocco Presutti on vocals and bass.

Sunday’s beer garden line up is Number 9, a Beatles tribute band from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Mara & the Big Rockstars performing ‘80s rock from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

On Monday the beer garden features the all female Under Cover Girls from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the ‘80s cover band the Young Guns from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Proceeds from the beer sales benefit Hermosa Beach charities. ER
