The Redondo Beach dance studio was founded in 2012 by Alina Sachs, who started dancing in Saratov, Russia at the age of six. Kids at that age learn partner dancing in Russia the way that American kids learn soccer, said Sachs. Her career led her first to Boston and then the South Bay. She focuses on Latin and ballroom dance. “LA is the capital of dance,” said Sachs. “There’s so much going on here.” Sachs and her instructors teach private and group lessons to all ages and levels. Dances taught include the cha cha, rumba, salsa, foxtrot, swing, waltz and tango.
