The National Volleyball League holds the West Coast Championships Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 6-8 on the north side of the Hermosa Beach Pier. With a prize purse of $75,000, the pro tournament includes a 16-team draw per gender. Registration is ongoing for Co-ed 4s and 6-man tournaments to be held as part of the ASICS World Series of Beach Volleyball in Long Beach. The Co-ed 4s takes place Friday, Aug. 21 and costs $250 per team (8 player max). The 6-man Open (single gender) and College Co-ed 6-man tournaments will be held Saturday, Aug. 22.
