As the full moon faded with the rising sun on Sunday morning, nearly 500 worshippers from Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church began the parish’s third annual Easter Sunrise Mass on the beach in Hermosa by proclaiming “Christ is Risen, Alleluia.” Pastor Ray Mallett reminded his parishoners that Christ’s resurrection is celebrated not just on Easter, but at every ‘little Easter” Sunday Mass. He also asked everyone to reflect on the Resurrection, not just on Sundays, but each morning upon their own risings by committing themselves to Christian virtues no matter what challenges the day might bring.
