South Bay Artist Launches Free Gallery Show

What if each one of us could make the world a better place by sharing our own “rules of life”?

That’s the question that led Manhattan Beach artist and photographer Corinne Cobabe Rushing to start The Five Wisdoms Project, an ongoing series of portraits and personal philosophies collected from more than 200 inspiring people around the world and shared on Instagram. 

The Five Wisdoms Project is now being launched in book form, and to celebrate, the artist is inviting the public to a free South Bay gallery viewing and book signing. Calendar details are as follows:

What: The Five Wisdoms Project is an ongoing series of portraits and personal philosophies collected from more than 200 inspiring people around the world – from Los Angeles to Greece, France and Morocco – and shared on Instagram by Manhattan Beach artist and photographer Corinne Cobabe Rushing.  To celebrate the book release of the project, a collection of portraits and stories including local South Bay participants will be on display for a select time only.

Who: Corinne Cobabe Rushing is a Manhattan Beach artist and photographer, and creator of The Five Wisdoms Project.  She was born and raised in Palos Verdes, Calif.

Date/TimeThe Five Wisdoms Project is open to the public for viewing, beginning on June 24-August 3, 2019.  Hours are: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.– 2:30 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday, 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. A book signing by the artist will be hosted on Sat., June 29, 2019, from 1 pm to 3 p.m., with copies of the book available for purchase.
