ES busines – Abad honored for

“It would be hard to find someone more generous,” El Segundo Schools Superintendent Melissa Moore said in introducing the 2019 El Segundo Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year. Moore had reason to be appreciative. Honoree Alex Abad has raised over $135,000 for El Segundo Schools by selling baseball caps that say Tower 60, the number of the El Segundo Beach lifeguard tower. Abad has also helped raise another $62,000 for schools by convincing fellow Realtors to donate a portions of their commissions to schools.

The annual Chamber Salute to El Segundo, hosted by Mattel, also honored current Mayor Drew Boyles and former mayors Carl Jacobson, Sandy Jacobs. Gordon Stephens. Bill Fisher, and Suzanne Fuentes.
