About the Manhattan Beach Farmers Market
Launched in the summer of 2006, the Manhattan Beach Farmers Market is open every Tuesday, rain or shine, from 11am to 5pm in the summer and 4pm during the school year. The market is located on 13th Street between Valley and Morningside Drives. Parking is available in Metlox Plaza… or just walk or ride your bike! Sponsored by the Downtown Business & Professional Association, the Manhattan Beach Certified Farmers Market has been connecting local farmers with residents for 10 years.

Our state certified market, features many small family farms with reputations for high quality, high value, specialty crops and foods. In-season produce including organically grown fruits, vegetables and herbs, flowers and cheeses are the freshest and best tasting money can buy. Fresh cage-free eggs, hand-crafted chocolates, breads and other gluten-free baked goods, olive oil, salsas and spreads, fresh locally caught fish, hummus, local honey, flowers and vinegars entice consumers and enhance menus. A rich and diverse exchange of customs and recipes are offered in our ethnic food booths featuring Gourmet Tamales, Pupusas, Cumin Chicken, Crepes, Larry’s Grill Tacos, and Dave’s Korean.
Keeping up with food trends, recently the market has expanded choices to include micro-greens (snipped while your wait), raw milk product, vegan cheese and spreads, nut butters, fresh jams, pickled choices, almond milk, juices and even healthy snacks produced from the pulp of the juicing company. There is something for everyone, every diet, and every discerning palate.
The open-air experience of the Manhattan Beach Farmers Market adds to the strong sense of community in our premier beach city. Kids will see fruits and vegetables in their unprocessed state and learn more about nutrition and how produce is grown. Farmers can experiment with new and old-fashioned varieties of fruits and vegetables not grown commercially. Neighbors, friends and family can exchange favorite recipes, while tasting and comparing foods that perhaps they’ve never tried before.
The Manhattan Beach Certified Farmers Market captures the unique essence of coastal living by reflecting the healthy, active lifestyle that is synonymous with our beach community. Our Tuesday market continues to be yet another favorite pastime for our residents and visitors to Manhattan Beach. Market managers, Cynthia Rogers and Liz Fatone as well as dedicated 10-year volunteers, Mel and Andrea, are ready to greet you every week.
